According to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, 64.6% of teen accidents are caused by driver error. The Street Survival™ program's mission is to educate teens on how to avoid accidents before they happen, by thinking and looking ahead.

The Street Survival™ school is not just your high school Driver's Education course. It is a one day, "hands-on" driving experience that teaches teens between 16 and 19 years old, about their car's handling limits and how to control them. We use real-world situations, practiced in a safe, closed course, with in car coaches, so that teens can learn techniques that can save their life!

This is not a class for learning how to drive fast, but instead is focused on safety and car control. The goal is to teach skills that help young drivers learn how to drive in emergency situations. Each car reacts different, which is why students use their own car, so that they get the most benefit from the exercises.

The school uses several braking exercises, including ABS braking, threshold braking, braking on a curve, and single and double lane emergency lane changes. These life saving accident avoidance maneuvers prepare students for many real-world situations.

Our skid pad exercises teach students about understeer, oversteer, steering with the throttle, and handling secondary effects from oversteer. The figure eight exercise gives the student the opportunity to put together the skills learned on the skid pad, with the added benefit of weight transfer.

The BMW CCA Foundation is a is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of safety and the preservation of history. This year they have teamed up with BMW North America, Tire Rack, and ZF Driveline and Chassis Technologies to provide this program at a great price throughout the U.S. As part of the cost, the student gets a one year membership to the BMW Car Club of America.
